Coatex is an Essential Fatty Acid (EFA) supplement for cats and dogs.

Because animals are unable to produce many essential nutrients, they have to be supplemented by diet. One such group is known as EFA's. When dogs or cats are deficient in certain EFAs, this can cause problems such as dry, scaly or itchy skin. Also, some conditions like atopic dermatitis are characterised by reduced lipids and EFAs in the epidermal layer.

Both are designed to ensure maximum freshness and prevent the degradation of the EFAs within it. Coatex capsules can be either given as a capsule or in the food. The pump should be added and mixed in with a daily meal.
